
Beth Young is a licensed therapist (FLMHC #15163) who offers counseling, soul care, and guided retreats by appointment. She grew up in the South and attended seminary earning dual degrees in Biblical Studies and Counseling. She has counseled for over 20 years and started practices in Florida and Alabama. She is currently studying Sabbath and suffering as a doctoral candidate at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, MI. She is interested in offering rest and compassion in a frantic and anxious world. She loves good stories, learning from her clients, and witnessing the surprise of growth in unexpected places. She is filled with gratitude for the delight, wit, and humility that her husband and three kids bring into her life. She is consistently perplexed by her dog's existential crises. She believes that laughter, adventure...and maybe even wisdom...increase with age.

Pricing at Beth Young Counseling & Soul Care varies based on the type of service you desire. However, the cost of a standard counseling session is $130 per 50-minute counseling hour.
Beth Young Counseling is a private pay practice. As an out-of-network provider, Beth does not bill insurance companies directly. However, she can provide an invoice statement to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement upon request. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and is dependent on the client's coverage.
A limited number of scholarships are available by request based on need for those in full-time ministry.

No one counseling session or retreat is alike as no one person's needs are identical. Regardless of your need, you should expect a calm and confidential environment where your story will be treated with care and respect.
In short, you do not need to be of any particular faith tradition to see Beth for counseling. While Beth often integrates theology and psychology in her practice, this is not a requirement. Issues of faith and spirituality will only be addresed if desired by the client.
Currently, Beth only sees clients virtually using a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Guided retreats are offered at a variety of locations as agreed upon in advance.
